Flight instructing

Hi
I was wondering if someone could tell me what i would need to get in order to be a flight instructer both on multi and single engine aircraft?

Also what is the minimum age?

Are there many jobs out there for intstructers, would they hire an 18 year old and what is the pay like per annum?

Thanks in advance
Regards
Dave

From LASORS (suggest you buy it) published by the CAA

Pre Entry:
- 200hrs Total + 100hrs PIC if ATPL/CPL or 150hrs PIC if PPL
- 30hrs SEP (including 5hrs in the 6 months prior to pre entry flight test)
- 10hrs IF instruction (upto 5hrs sim allowable)
- 20hrs PIC X-Country (including 300nm X-Country)
- Pre Entry Flight test

Then:

Ground Training

- 125hrs (including 40hrs tuition, 78hrs teaching practice, 7hrs progress tests)

Flight Training

- 30hrs (25hrs dual + 5hrs mutual, 5hrs sim allowable)
- Test with FIE

This gives you a FI(R) on SEP

Then for MEP

- 500hrs total
- 30hrs PIC on Type/Class including 10hrs in last year.

Ground

25hrs Core Course
25hrs theory (15hrs tech theory, 7hrs practice, 3hrs prog tests)
