Looking for EASA/CAA FI(E) in Spain

I want to add the FIC instructor rating. I understand there's a (recommended) ground school course, followed by an AOC with an FI(E).

If anyone is or knows one in Spain (especially Mallorca) that is registered with both UK and EASA that would be great.

Many thanks.

For the UK, you have to apply to the CAA which will assess the application and recommend training at an authorised provider. You then apply for the AoC which would usually be conducted by a staff examiner. More than just an FIE.

The FIC is mandatory. There are a number of FIC schools in the UK and Spain that conduct the FI(r) course for both EASA and UK and advertise widely. The school that you select will undertake the course pre-assessment but this is very routine. The course is 30 hours flying and 125 hours ground school. The CAA do not have staff examiners for routine testing, the A of C (skill test) will be conducted by a FI examiner.

Pre-entry Requirements
  1. Hold a valid PPL(A) or CPL(A)
  2. EASA/UK Class 1 or Class 2 medical
  3. 200 hours total flight time.
  4. 150 hours pilot in command.
  5. 30 hours on aircraft (SEP)
  6. 5 hours on aircraft type (SEP) in the previous 6 months
  7. Passed CPL/ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Examinations.

Thank you for the reply. I perhaps didn't explain my question correctly. I already hold an FI rating. I am looking to get the FI Instructor / FIC Instructor rating, ie. I want to be able to teach the FI course. I meet the prerequisites of instructor and total times.

OK, should you wish to train in the UK, I would recommend contacting On-Track Aviation who are approved by both EASA and the UK.

As I have said above, you have to apply to the CAA before undertaking the training. On Track is highly recommended.
