Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

SEP Renewal - ATO or DTO?

Can the training required for SEP Renewal (and subsequent CCC) be completed by a DTO before presenting a candidate for the Proficiency Check? Documentation seems only to refer to ATO's but surely, if a DTO can train for a Licence including a rating, it could also provide retraining for rating renewal.

Have you actually tried reading that regulation after the job opportunity candidate at Westlaw Edge and Thomson Reuters made such a complete mess of it? No doubt the lawyers at DfT were behind this abysmal attempt under direction of the Minister Grant Shapps.
