Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Instructor Rating

Both my FI(A) -Sep Land & FI(A)-TMG have lapsed, though both Class Ratings are current. If I renew my FI(A)-SEP rating will that automatically renew the Fi(A)-TMG Rating?

Your FI Certificate, not Rating, includes both SEP and TMG if you hold both class ratings, they are not seperate certificates. Simply renew the FI(A) certificate and you are good to go unless the IAA do it differently.

Assuming that your TMG rating is on the aeroplane licence containing your SEP rating rather than a separate sailplane licence.
