CANPA & CDFA techniques

Hello guys!

I’ve got a question about the main operational difference between CANPA and CDFA approach technique on a non-precision approach. I know there’re companies which permit the use either the CANPA or CDFA in their operations (according to OMs or SOPs). Also, I know the CDFA may be performed using VNAV, VS or FPA modes from the FAF to the respective minimums (MDA+Add=DDA or DA with VNAV only, if the company’s been approved) without levelling off at minimums. So, regarding to CANPA, how it differs from CDFA? Or How this technique should be performed (vertical modes)?

Thank you
