Renewal of an EASA A330 type rating

Hello,

looking to possibly "renew" an EASA A330 with last LPC in May 2014.
If I got it correctly, according to AMC1 FCL.740(b) Validity and renewal of class and type ratings it should be possible to go for a renewal instead of having to take the full type rating course again. It that the case ? I flew A330/A340 till October 2014 then transitioned to the whale-bus and I am now -like many- trying to re-add to my licence some sensible type ratings for the future.

Cheers.
