Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Airline TRI to full time TRI/MCC instuctor flt school

Hi all,

as posted I’m wondering if anyone on this forum has made the jump from an airline employed TRI to working for one of the big flying schools (Europe) as a sim instructor. (Ab initio flt training)

Obviously this is a life style choice I’m not expecting the same money. My physical age actually puts me further from retirement as my intentions suggest 😄 so I do have a family to support to give context!

thoughts appreciated from anyone who has ventured down (or considered) this path

please note I’m not interested in contracting or working for one of the specific sim training providers at this stage (ie Cae/flt safety) think flight training Jerez de la frontera something like that
