Airline to SFI advice

Hello all,

Recently I have lost my class 1 medical and it seems unlikely that I will regain it in the foreseeable future. I am currently considering my future employment options and I'm keen to stay in the aviation industry if possible. I'm very interested in going into training and as such I am looking at opportunities as an SFI. I have significant A320 experience in both seats but zero experience as an instructor.

Are there any individuals that have made a similar transition?
What is the current market like for SFIs in the UK (and abroad)?
What are typical terms for an SFI?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
