TRE privileges regarding IR

I have a question regarding the privilege of a TRE. Reading Air Crew, it states :

(2) proficiency checks for revalidation or renewal of type ratings, EIRs and IRs;

They do not specify EIR or IR for type rated aircraft.

If the TRE also holds an SP IR(A) can he perform prof check for SPA IR ?

I have not seem many type rated pilot (even SPA High performance) flying under an EIR !

thx for the help

Not unless you hold an IRE/CRE, the TRE is only valid for the type printed on the certificate.
