IR(R) Training

Can a UK ATO train a pilot for IR(R) in a privately owned Channel Islands registered aircraft in the UK?

Any thoughts - with refs to docs would be muchly appreciated.

Art 225 of the ANO exempts aircraft registered in the CI from any overseas aircraft aerial work restrictions, so there does not appear to be any restriction. The ATO bit is irrelevant for a National Rating.
