LBA PPL Exams

I have eMailed the LBA and asked this question directly, but does anyone know if there is precedent for the LBA accepting UK CAA Air Law and HPL exams for an ICAO conversion of a PPL? I know some states are 'fussy' in this regard.

The candidate did the UK exams without realising the state of licence issue / medical scenario and has a German medical....

I know I will have to wait for the official answer, but the candidate needs to try and make alternative arrangements (pronto) if the answer is likely to be in the negative.
