Definition of a "route sector"

Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Definition of a "route sector"

From Lasors:

A route sector is defined
as a flight comprising take-off, cruise of not less than 15
minutes, arrival, approach and landing."
Can the route sector start and end at the same airport? Is there any difference under EASA (yes, Ive tried Googling!).

FCL.010 Definitions
For the purposes of this Part, the following definitions apply:
‘Route sector’ means a flight comprising take-off, departure, cruise of not less than 15 minutes, arrival, approach and landing phases.
It can start and finish wherever you like

Thanks.

BTW, do you have a link to the definitive EASA FCLs? All that I have found on EASA website and elsewhere is somewhat ambiguously entitled, undated, or old and I am never sure whether I am looking at the official document.

See a couple of threads down (Part FCL - a quickie) for the links you need.
