What I still can't understand is why he can't just do training as required, all of the written exams and a skills test? He has the dual/solo hours, and has completed the QCC as part of his FAA training. Having a FAA PPL appears to be causing a problem that he wouldn't have if he hadn't completed his FAA training.
I'm sure that I'm missing something. The CAA seem to think that he needs to revalidate his FAA PPL first. However he doesn't want a FAA PPL, so what are we up to?

I thought FAA PPLs were valid for life. Mine is.

Well after all of that my chap's had an email back from the CAA (24 hour turn round) to say that he can simply train with me, pass all of the exams, and then take his Skills Test. This is what I thought that it would be before I became entangled in CAP 804.

This does make more sense. Glad you got a sensible response from the CAA.

Just had a call from your school about another FAA certificate holder. I will reply later today.

What email address are you using?

I still don't haven't had a response on any of my conversion requests, for over a month.
