Converting FAA to JAA license

Hi All,

I am an experienced FAA ATP holder,thinking of getting a JAA ATPL.
Any input/personal experience would be highly appreciated !

Do the exams and the training. 14 ATPL exams and then training at an ATO for the CPL/ME and the IR. 5hrs approx for CPL and 15hrs for the IR. you will need 500hrs multi crew to get an ATPL if you don't have that then you will be restricted to CPL/IR with an ATPL exam pass referred to locally as a frozen ATPL.

Just bear in mind if you really are 63 you are not going to get much of a return on investment.
