Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Wow, What a load of nonsense
Brilliant start to a reply.

If I move back to Aus, then I'll have to do a regular trip
back to the USA
(where I don't live) to renew that FAA instructor rating.
Now that is a load of nonsense... I just revalidated/renewed my FAA instructor ratings for the 5th time, and never went to the USA for any of them.

What he/she/they ^ wrote. You can renew an FAA instructor rating online or by correspondence**

**Correspondence may have gone the way of the dodo though...

FAA flight review outside US on foreign registered aircraft

I have a US CFI/II licence and am a citizen (working and living) in The Netherlands. Someone with a US licence ask me to give him the 2-yearly Flight Review. Can I do so on a non-US registered aircraft? Anybody knows?
Thanks,

Hans

Are you receiving payment? Is (at least) one of you legally allowed to fly the aircraft as PIC?

No, no payment.
We are both legally allowed to fly the non-Faa registered aircraft.
Just a C172 or Archer.
Both of us are non-US citizens
