Vagabond instructor?

I now realize that this is a mostly European forum, but, maybe some stateside guys can give me some advice for this crazy idea. I'm a CFII with my multi instructor rating that has been teaching at a local Part 61 flight school in West Tennessee. I've enjoyed my job and the city, but I'm getting restless. I think I'd like to see the country by bike, but I want to stay current and connect with new people as I go. Does anyone think it's a completely stupid idea to bike from one job instructing to another where it's hard to find flight instructors and schools, exchanging food and lodging for instruction? I'd have to get leads online, of course, and buy several things to prepare for the days camping and surviving house less, but I think if I prepared, it'd be a lot of fun and a great experience. Also, anyone have any leads?
