Hello All, after not flying for a while due to the industry slow down I am looking for a north of england based sim to shake the rust off. I've searched the threads but nothing suitable springs up. any info would be appreciated

Are you trying to just get back into the air, or trying to get an instrument rating proficient again?
In my honest opinion, if its just a basic private license for VFR flying, I would just go get an instructor and an actual cheap plane. The simulators I've seen are still expensive (maybe not as much as a plane, but still), and I think you'd get more for your money in an actual plane. VFR flying is all about the visual reference with the horizon anyway, and I'm not sure you can fully experience that in a flight simulator.
If you're trying to get current with an instrument rating, a flight simulator is an amazing tool, but for simply getting rust off a basic private license, I don't recommend it.
Good luck
