Training within 60 days before the Inital CFI practical TEST?

Im endorsing a CFI student for his checkride, however, I havent flown with him in 60 days because he was flying with another CFI for his commercial.
Here is my question:
Is the 60 days training requirement required before the CFI checkride ?
What is "training" mean? Flight or ground.

61.39 refers to practical test , hence the 60 days applies to practical training .61.39 (6) 1 - says has logged training time in preperation for the practical test.

Hope this helps
