Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Helicopter Take Off and Landing Techniques

In the bad old good old days when 1179s were the order of the day when it came to Proficiency Checks I'm sure this form came with at least two notes. One said:

'Exercises that mention 'engine failures' and relate to 'Decision Points' must be carried out at 90% of RTOW.'

and the other said:-

'........such exercises must be repeated for each certified Take Off or Landing technique.'

Can't find any reference to these matters in JARs so are they now defunct?
