Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

What IMC book do you reccommend to your students

I'm thinking of completing my IRI course over the winter.

It's been a long time since I did my IMC course and I used Trevor Thom - but in those days that was all that was kicking about.

Is there anything better about and what do other instructors recommend there students to study from?

I would recommend Fate is the Hunter by E.K.Gann

Any pilot who wishes to progress in Aviation, especially to an IFR rating should read and have a copy of Fate is the Hunter.

The Oxford IMC Rating CD is also pretty good. I would recommend it to students;
