CRP-1 or CRP-5
I am hoping to get airbourne after a 12 year break within the next couple of months. I am aiming to get my FI rating current by next year.
I have a CRP-1 from my PPL days and a CRP-5 from sitting my ATPL exams. For PPL instruction would a CRP-1 be all I need? I am skint and thinking of putting my CRP-5 on ebay

Yes CRP 1 better for PPL work as the speed scale is more accurate for low speed flying. In fact i used it for the ATPL's some 20 odd years ago, could never understand why peeps spent money on the CRP5.
Previous to that i made one out of a card board box, think it was the Revell Boeing 727 plastic kit box, nice thick cardboard!
Just photo copy a CRP and do a Blue Peter job.
