Expired Type Rating Renewal Under Jar
Hi to all!
Hope one of you will be able to help me out on this:
I have a JAR ATPL with a A320 T.R. that has expired in August 2007. I have been flying under another ICAO licence until now on the A320.
What do I have to do to revalidate my JAR TYPE RATING?
Do I need the same type of refresher course as someone who has not been flying at all in these last 8 months or my experience and currency ouside JAR environment will be counted towards it?
I am dealing with the Italian Civil Aviation Authority but it is very hard to find out the correct answers. If any of you has knwledge of the current practice in other JAR countries on this subject please post it.
Thank you so much.

You can renew your Type rating by passing a Licence Proficiency Check. There is no mandatory training or refresher requirement.
