CAA Twin rating renewal on "N" reg A/C

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do a UK CAA twin rating renewal using an "N" reg A/C ?

If so are there any instructors in southern England who can assist ?

Thanks

There are several MEP FI/FEs in the South, including me
I don't know what the DfT will charge but it may be simpler just to rent an aircraft for a little refresh and the test - the Seneca at EGLS is quite a good price.

You can only do a MEP rating at an approved FTO. To use an aircraft that is not notified as part of that approval the CAA will need to inspect the aircraft; that will involve checking if the relevant permissions have been obtained. The DFT permission only relates to training the owner of the aircraft. If no money changes hands ( not very likely) its not to difficult.
