How long to get the FI rating?

I have suddenly found myself in the very fortunate position of having 6 week's paid leave before starting a new job (in banking) in April and am trying to to decide what to do with the time!

I have long wondered about adding an FI rating to my PPL (no intention of earning money from it). Hypothetically, would it be possible to get the rating within 5-6 weeks? I have about 500 hours, IMC etc.

thanks,

If you've completed all the course pre-entry requirements, then 6 weeks should be ample for course and test.
If you still need to do the CPL level knowledge requirement, then you'll need a bit longer!

It all depends on the weather. I've been going since late Nov and am only 2/3 through the course

I started my FIC(H) 7th Jan 2008 and passed my flight test yesterday

So 4-5 weeks basically but I have my commercial licence, and I guess we heli guys can get out on the days when fixed wings are grounded. It was incredibly hard graft though, to fly and have briefings all day and try and consolidate in the evenings. I would say that 6 weeks it can be done and at a comfortable rate
