FI Rating renewals

Next September will be 5 years since my FI rating was last renewed. Do any of you gents & ladies out there know what would be the requirements to renew after this time? As I understand it, at the moment I am within 5 years and so need to do a seminar + flight test to re-validate (over 3 years). Am I correct in my understanding of this? Thanks, BK.

Perfectly correct. You need to do the Seminar and Flight Test within a 12 month period and provided you don't go over 5 yeras from the expiry date of the rating (not renewal date) then the examiner can sign you up on completion of the latter event.

Thanks for the info Whopity! It is as I thought, except I'd forgotten that it is 5 years from expiry not renewal. That will give me a bit more time. Cheers, BK
