Multi IR Instructor Wages

Hi,

Can anyone give me an idea of what I should earn as a Full Time multi-IR instructor in the UK?

Thanks.

40k is about right in the current market for multi engine IR work. Certainly 25-28k is well below average, It's possible to earn 28k just doing single engine CPL.

Depends where you work. Anything from 20k - 45k is possible. The higher end at the larger, integrated schools.

40k sounds about right for the big schools such as Oxford, CTC, etc. It's certainly more than I earn at a smaller school, though. Good luck to Gash if he can earn more than that, though...

The CPL/IR flight school I left paid their ME-IR instructors £40k plus bonuses for additional hours flown over their monthly target.

I had an interview recently for another well known integrated flight school who offered £42500k plus pension, bonuses, BUPA etc.

Remember, flight schools that want to attract instructors at ME-IR level have to provide at least an F/O jet salary or they are not going to recruit or retain the professional staff they require.

Hope this helps. TJ
