Dennis Dickinson, CATS, Liverpool
For those who completed an FIC or BCPL/CPL in the 80s or 90s at Liverpool Airport you will no doubt have completed training at Cheshire Air Training School under the brilliant instruction of Dennis Dickinson.
Sadly, he died yesterday. Announcement here

Did my "night instructor" qualification with Dennis. Thanks mate.
Another of the upper echelon, experienced, guys gone. The future of the FIC World is getting scary.

Just heard that Dennis's funeral is at Thornton Cemetery, nr Crosby on Friday 6th July at 1200 and afterwards at the Nag's Head.
Dennis gave me my first job in aviation, washing aircraft 20 years ago; unfortunately he retired before I did my instructors rating, however all the bad weather days of his FI courses, where I was lucky enough to be Bloggs gave me a fabulous start.
Condolences to his wife Brenda and children, Paul, Faye and Lynn
