Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Updated CAP 393 and Airspace changes

See http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CAP393.PDF
The 2007 Version of the ANO has been issued and section 2 Rules of the Air has received a serious makeover with the Rules rearranged and re numbered.
There are now 64 rules whereas before there was 49. Its seems not to be more legislation just rearranging the existing Rules and opening them out.
If you are teaching Air Law at the moment take a look!
Additionally see Airspace changes in AIP ENR 1-4-1, (15/3/07 ) replacing doc dated (18/3/04).
Class B Airspace no longer designated in the UK, having been replaced by Class C.
Now a question for the experts, the new rule 31 para 2 refers to gliding in Class B Airspace, is that correct should that now be Class C.
Now a question for Examiners, re the existing PPL Air Law exams do the SRG state what issue of Documentation is the base reference for the Exams. i.e. what issue are the exams based on. Because as of Now Rule 5 becomes rule 5 and rule 6.
