Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Does 3 blade make a difference compared to 2 blade?

I have heard completely opposite answers. 2 blade should be 16ins and 3 blade 14 ins said one highly experienced operator. That is not the generally accepted view where 14 ins seems to work for both. Can be very difficult to find a nicely rigged aircraft on a non turbulent day and prove one way or another (by fx then comparing rudder trim position on 14 ins or whatever after unfx).

Any ideas?
