Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

FI Training

I am a Canadian Flight Instructor interested in converting it over to JAA and I am aware of the hurdles such as the Commercial writtens etc etc.
Can anyone recommend a good school where I can do both the ground training for the exams as well as the flight training?

Ground and practical are done as separate things. You do the ground exams as a distance learning excercise, doing the CPL and IR exams or the ATPL exams. When you have a pass in these 14 exams which require around 800hrs of ground school plus 2 weeks class room you then do the practical training. This is available from a variety of sources.
