N reg twin turbine query

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

If someone has an FAA ATR is there any requirement to complete a manufacturer's course, or have a specific type rating, for a twin turbo-prop under 5700kgs? It would only be flown privately.

A pointer in the right area would help.

The insurance company may want you to do some sort of course, ie. Flightsafety for example, but no specific type rating required for a turboprop under 12500lbs in FAA land. You would at the very least need a multi engine rating with complex/high performance/high altitude endorsments.
