PPL Instructing to Microlight Instructing?

PPL Instructing to Microlight Instructing?
I have a JAR FI rating and wondered what the requirements are to be able to teach microlight training? Seems to be more spondoo's available in that game!

As a microlight is an aeroplane then your Instructor rating entitles you to teach on one. The CAA recommend that you should have a minimum of 5 hours experiece on any different aeroplane type that you teach on. In the case of a microlight, a little more time might be a good idea, in addition you should have knowledge of the BMAA syllabus which is considerably different to the normal PPL syllabus and microlight examiners will work to that syllabus to test your students.

Instructing
The snag with microlight instructing is it is very weather dependant. The planes can take it but the student gets a bit ick!
Also some schools expect the instructor to have their own plane so the outlay is pretty high. Good fun though and it will improve your short strip skills as they can teach off 250 yd strips!
