Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Integrated or Modular/Instructor?

Can anyone help me?
I am torn between the Oxford Air Training APP First Officer Course - no previous experience to Jet Pilot in 6 steps, or doing a Modular course and instructing for a year.
I don't really want to instruct for a year and so am biassed toward the OATs course. How do the two routes compare for employability?

I would suggest you look in the wanabees forum, this has been done to death in there.

Save the money and instruct. At least you will have a job at the end of it.

If you don't want to instruct (nothing wrong with that) then surely the answer is obvious; don't go via the instructor route.
The last thing you want is a job you don't enjoy, and if you don't enjoy it, your students will be able to tell that.
As has been said above, the Wannabies Forum has lots of opinions on these choices.
