FAA to JAA

Could any Instructors out there give me a bit of advise?

I have an FAA Comm Multi IR I start the conversion to a JAA fATPL next week.

What is the process involved?
Multi then IR then CPL? or CPL first I have not flown since January this year as I have been doing all the ground exams.
I have 270hrsTT. Thanks.

Doesn't matter whether you convert the CPL or IR first, but you have to have a vaild JAA MEP class rating before you can fly the IR test.
CPL conversion is "training as required" to pass the skills test (so no minimum hours).
IR conversion is minimum 15 hours (of which up to 5 hours can be flown in an approved sim). Your MEP conversion can be included in these hours.
Hope this helps.
