JAR compliant PPL
I'm considering going to the USA to do a PPL with www.ukft.com. They offer a JAR compliant license which they claim is accepted in the UK and Europe but I have been able to find very little information about it. Could anyone please enlighten me? Is this license really as accepted as they say? Is it easy to convert to a JAA license?
The reason you can't find anything about it is because there is no such thing. What you will get is a FAA licence which is ICAO compliant and therefore you can use it in the UK, provided you keep your FAA medical current and have a bienial flight review with an FAA instructor (not difficult).
The only JAR compliant licence is one that complies with JAR-FCL i.e. a licence issued by a JAA State.
