Nope. But On Track Aviation run a prep course to prepare you for the interview. Go to their website and click on "FIC Training Day". No experience of this particular course, but I did my FIC with On Track and highly recommend them.

The interview was abandoned last year and has been replaced by a one day selection procedure at a CAA Flight Test Centre.

You will be required to give a pre-fight brief; a groundschool brief and answer questions on typical PPL subjects. In addition you will be expected to know the format of a FI Course and describe how you would conduct such a course.

Thanks for the replies .....

Sounds like the groundschool part of a typical FI renewal now ? (+ some knowledge on FI course ...).

Are these CAFU examiners or 'CAA nominated' ....?
