Cool CAA to JAR FI conversion?

Hi, I have a current CAA FI rating and around 1000 hours instructing. Does anyone know how to convert it to a JAR rating as I am thinking about intructing in France?
Also, is there anyone else out there who instructs part-time who finds it difficult to do the 100 hours instructing before revalidating?

Apply to the CAA for a JAA licence issued on the basis of your CAA one.

It is a paperwork exercise but I expect that it will cost money!
