Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

"We learn by teaching"
I thought this might make a good motto for flight instructors

When I was a gliding instructor on a VGS, our motto was "He who teaches, Learns."

I think that hits the nail on the head old boy...
catch you on the flip side..

Or one I was told recently...

"Those who Can, Do.
Those who can't, Teach!"

Don't flame me folks - not my quote! I'm an instructor myself!

What about this one :

" Those people who think they know everything about flying are particularly annoying to all of us who do".

------------------
My mascot is a bumblebee. Because of its tiny wings and heavy body, aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly. But the bumblebee doesn't know that, so it flies anyway.

And those that can't do it, can't teach, can't teach teachers or join the CAA/FAA/CASA....

...are CONSULTANTS.

Not true! Some supply endless cups of coffee, muffins, toasted sandwiches, chilli so hot it burns the hairs off your------nose,
sooth battered egos and supply a friendly ear to listen with envy and admiration to the student pilots dreams. Most Instructors I know leave instructing with a much more diverse and in depth knowledge of flying than
they would have had otherwise.
