Southern Air, Shoreham.......R.I.P.
I've heard that over the weekend, Southern Air called it a day (For those that don't know they were the largest flying club at Shoreham).
Does anyone know what happened?
I flew their A/C a few times last year and they seemed organised etc, although I really don't know well enough to comment. It just suprised me as I thought they were well established?!
Hope everyone found another job.

From what I was told. "The main financial benefactor passed on, and their family didnt share the same enthusiasm enough to continue injecting money". That and a "six figure debt" couldnt have helped but bring the receivers in. I understand though that there are some interested parties who want to ressurect the flying club aspect at least, but are experiencing confrontation from Airport authorities.
