Smile Sight versus hearing

A couple of books tell me that when learning to fly a student pilot uses sight 75% and hearing 13% in the process. Anyone know of any different figures than those?

most students I initially learnt with used 2% sight 0% hearing and even less common sense(some)

Of course they all got better, and once doing instrument training used about 50/50 each!

Initial training can be scary!!!!!

Some of my students use 20/20 hind SIGHT!!

Chestnut, been along time since I did P.O.L. - But the figures you are quoting seem to ring a tune!!

Will look into my archives and have a look for you.
