'FAA Flight Instructors Handbook' pretty much covers it.

Not sure who it's by (Jeppessen?) but it's usually found in the various pilot shops.

Thumbs up

Plus you'll need a good handle on Aviation Medicine and Human Factors!

Good Luck! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

The manual is called 'Aviation Instructor's Handbook'

It is an official FAA document although reprinted in 1977 by 'ASA Publications' Stock number 050-011-00072-1

It also known as 'FAA Advisory Circular 60-14'

It supersedes and cancels the original 'FAA Flight Instructors Handbook, AC 61-16A'

As said previously it is available in any pilot shop, or through the FAA direct.

Hi Tempo, by memory the exam is only 20 questions long and if you have the hours for grade 1 it is pretty common sense stuff. Theres a few that maybe a little tricky but the majority should not be too bad even without study. Its fairly practical but then again it has a bit on human factors and Maslow's all that type of stuff.
