Question Comments on the AOPA "Mentor" programme

Does anyone have any comments on the AOPA mentor programme? Is it something a student pilot like myself would want to get involved in or is it not worth bothering with? PS. I reckon this one belongs in the FI section because you guys will know the most about it.
Thanks.
