Instructing on private cat aircraft

Can anyone tell me if its possible to instruct on private cat aircraft? I was told you can, as long as the person your instructing owns the aircraft and its maintained by an M3 or JAR145 company to Public Cat standards.
If it is possible does anyone have a reference for it?
