Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Question

Hi,

A friend of me is going to fly 20 hours on a PA28. I fly with him for fun. Of course it would be great to log also those 20 hours in my logbook. Is that possible? We both have our cpl licences.

Thanks a lot!!!

Cheers,

Theo

In the UK you can only do this (on a single pilot certified plane) if one of you has an instructor rating and the other of you is his "student".
Otherwise only one of you can log the flight time.
I would presume that it's the same in your country but I don't actually know.
