Sign of the Times?
It's been a traumatic week at the North end of the Air Capital ramp - salvation (at least temporary) followed by massive reductions elsewhere in the industry including over a hundred at the South end. The atmosphere can be summed up by the following exchange in Friday's Maintenance meeting:
"At 10, we're taking '91 out for a photo-op"
"Why? Are we puting it on e-bay?"
(Sorry, Genghis, I know it's not directly Flight Test but....)

I trust you fell better for gettig that off your chest. Sorry we can't help assuage your chagrin since we haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about.

So at least somebody understood. God is back (like all ex-chiefs) as a consultant/guest pilot. Alas being an independent contractor has not improved punctuality at briefings.
