Can anyone identify this Marconi radome?

Missile Radome | eBay

I'm hoping this link will work, it goes to an item I just purchased on ebay.

The radome is actually roughly 52" tall and 20" diameter. At the base there's a metal ring that sat inside whatever this was part of and I'm guessing it was attached by small bolts.

It comes from a area what a lot of the Bloodhound missiles were based but it looks too stubby to have come off one of those.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning to make it into a display cabinet but don't want to start hacking up something that might have any collector value.

Thanks

Many thanks for those thoughts.

I've re-posted it as suggested. This apparently goes back to the 1970s so looks like it pre-dates the Mica system.

Could be Bloodhound, if you allow for the camera being quite close. Exact measurements will soon verify.

At Bristols there was an office with the Internal Mail address "Radome Towers". These were two large radomes of similar shape upended and used as offices. Are you after using it as a garden shed?

English Electric Thunderbird Mk 2?

Body diameter 52.7 cms... ties in nicely with the diameter of the radome as quoted by the O.P. and from the pic below the height looks about right too.

photo from wikipedia.
