So much for a non-profit making company.
Owners of California test pilot school plead guilty to tax evasion, will pay $2M in penalties
By Associated Press, Published: June 21
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The owners of an internationally known civilian test pilot school in Southern California have pleaded guilty to defrauding the U.S. government of nearly $710,000 by filing a false tax return related to a secret Swiss bank account.
Sean and Nadia Roberts also will pay more than $2 million in civil penalties after pleading guilty Monday in U.S. District Court in Fresno. They own the National Test Pilot School at Mojave Airport, which trains test pilots from within the U.S., the aerospace industry and foreign governments.
Their attorney, Edward Robbins, says the couple was caught up in the U.S. government’s 2009 investigation of secret accounts at Switzerland’s UBS bank.
Prosecutors say the couple transferred money to several offshore accounts, then improperly deducted the transfers from their corporate and individual tax returns.

I'm passing no judgement - I've always liked Sean and Nadia and very much respected them professionally; this issue is essentially one between them and the US legal and tax authorities, and not to do with flight testing.
That said, this news item is quite interesting, and it is certainly news that is relevant to the flight testing community.
