Cat 1 Ils

CS-AWO covers the requirements for autoland systems, and CAT 2 and 3 ILS. What document covers the certification requirements for Cat 1 approaches?

It's been quite some time since I was involved with JAR-AWO (as was) but IIRC Subpart 1 is, in fact, what is required for CAT I as it applies for all Autopilot approaches, Part II for CAT II, Part III for CAT III and finally Part 4 is for Low Vis Takeoffs.

I must admit that i always thought that too, but part 1 is about Autoland systems in general, so includes such things as requirements for autothrottles. I am after the civil testing requirements for clearing an aircraft to conduct Cat 1 operations, e.g. determining decision heights and so on.

See CS 25 Large Aircraft, Amendment 5 where CS 25.1329 Flight Guidance System (page129) and the new/revamped AMC CS 25.1329 Flight Guidance System (page 555) which should provide the relevant info.
Approach mode (ILS) is around page 609 -.
