No aeros restriction on Strikemasters and Jet Provosts

is being lifted with effect from 6th August. It will be replaced however by a restricted operating "g" envelope of between +3 and -0.25.
Progress I guess - thank you to the "Marks" for helping in changing the initial MPD.

Curious to know the CAA's rationale for that. If they're genuinely worried about the "real" fatigue life of these aircraft, what's their basis for declaring +3g is "OK"? I doubt BAE would have contributed to that debate.

They were originally going to go for 2g, and when they saw the reaction this generated, they relaxed and went to 3g. The fatigue meters don't really start to click in on these aircraft until close to 4g.
