Flight Test Eng in Aus

HI everyone,
I have a BEng (aero) and a PPL that i am slowly turning into a CPL. Currently i am employed in Aerospace as a Strucutral engineer.

I am keen to move into flight test engineering and i was wondering if anyone could give me a headsup on companies in australia that do this kind of work. The only one i can think of at the moment is QANTAS but there must be some others out there too. I am interested in fixed wing, rotary, large aircraft or small. Anything that flies basically.
Thanks

Gippsland Aeronautics in Australia manufacture the Airvan. The Pacific Aircraft Company in New Zealand. Both these manufacturers make single engine utility aircaft, therefore if anywhere these may present some opportunities for FTO/FTE work, you would probably need to work in some other specialisation and have the FTE duties as a secondary role. You may need to keep an eye out for vacancies at these companies and expect to wait several years for the desired position to arise.

StallsandSpins, drop in for a chat sometime and I'll tell you what I know. Perhaps JT could join us - he's been promising to drop in for a coffee for ages.
PS - spins, my favourite subject!

Check the list of Corporate Members of the Flight Test Society of Australia Website - FTSA. The Corporate members are always seeking to employ those having a flight test background or aspirations in that direction.

Gippsland Aeronautics is situated in Latrobe Valley and is Australia’s most prominent commercial manufacturer of General Aviation aircraft, producing the GA8 AIRVAN and GA200C Agricultural aircraft. These aircraft have been developed using the skills and knowledge of a dedicated in house engineering team.

GA is currently developing a family of aircraft based on the GA8 Airvan. Other product development programs include development of a crashworthy compliant seat utilising airbag technology and avionics upgrades. We need an engineer with strong skills to work as part of the team to bring these projects to fruition and to achieve certification.

Experience required:
Minimum 5 years professional experience within the Aviation Industry
An appropriate Engineering degree (preferably Aeronautical) and
The enthusiasm and drive to bring projects to completion.
